Basler & Hofmann is a Swiss engineering and consulting firm whose fire-protection engineers develop bespoke, protection-goal-oriented concepts combining structural, technical and organisational measures, validated with computer simulation and real hot-smoke testing (their patented “Izar” system) to demonstrate equivalence to the authorities. The firm is a driver of Switzerland’s shift to fact-based, risk-based, cost-optimised fire engineering and a founding member of SFPE Switzerland.
