The Irish certification arm of BRE, on the DCU Alpha innovation campus at Glasnevin, set up so that a manufacturer can hold an EU certificate issued inside the Union rather than in Great Britain. It is accredited to ISO 17065 by INAB, which audits it annually, and holds EC notified body status for conformity assessment under the Construction Products Regulation and the Marine Equipment Directive; its fire work centres on fire detection and fire suppression products, including the EN 54 series. It does not run fire laboratories of its own — testing is arranged through accredited laboratories and BRE Global Ireland issues the certification. Its British parent, BRE Group, is listed separately under the United Kingdom.
