Falconer Engineering and Testing is a fire protection engineering practice at Whitby, Ontario specialising in engineering judgements, testing and inspection for firestopping, sprayed fireproofing and intumescent fire-resistive materials. Its principal began at Underwriters’ Laboratories of Canada in 1978 in the testing and certification of construction materials, including full-scale fire testing of building constructions, and in fire safety standards and building code development. He continues to serve on the ULC Committee on Fire Tests, which develops and maintains the Canadian fire test standards. The firm is an FCIA member.
