The Instytut Techniki Budowlanej, Poland’s state building research institute, runs a Zakład Badań Ogniowych whose scope covers most of what a Polish fire case needs: reaction to fire of construction products, external fire exposure of roofs, fire spread across building elements, fire resistance, smoke-tightness of doorsets, flammability, and the effectiveness of the protection systems applied to structural elements. It is notified body 1488 under the Construction Products Regulation 305/2011 and a member of EOTA, and holds PCA accreditation as a testing laboratory (AB 023) and as a certification body (AC 020). The fire laboratory is in Warsaw, with a second PCA-accredited laboratory at Pionki. State ownership; testing is sold on the open market.
