The Kingscourt, Co. Cavan building-materials group — Cavan is in the province of Ulster, not Leinster —, holding 28 LPCB listings, more than any other Irish company and more than most national industries in the register: 12 under LPS 1181-1 for cladding products used in the external envelope, 10 under LPS 1208 for composite construction elements, and 6 under LPS 1181-2 for sandwich and built-up panel systems used internally, across certificates 186a, 186c, 186d and 186f. The LPS 1181 and 1208 schemes came out of the insurance industry’s loss experience with combustible-core panels, which is why an insurer-backed listing carries weight on them that a CE declaration does not.
