Protega has manufactured passive fire protection at Trelleborg since 1988 across three lines — intumescent fire protection paint for structural steel and timber, firestopping, and topcoats. Its Novapipe W pipe collar holds European Technical Assessment ETA 17-0766, in a version dated January 2025, covering plastic-pipe penetration seals up to EI 120, with a Swedish declaration of performance published alongside it on the product page; its intumescent pillow product is rated E30 to E120 and EI30 to EI60. The company also runs its own firestopping applicator training course for installers.
