About

Safe and Sound is one of only two firms on Fireforum’s FISQ register holding technique 11, Rook & Warmteafvoersystemen — the other being the Kingspan group’s Belgian arm — and its FISQ scope runs to eleven of the scheme’s fourteen techniques, covering fire detection, gas and water extinguishing, first-intervention equipment, structural fire protection, fire dampers, firestopping penetrations, fire doors and windows, fire-rated ducts and fire-rated walls, ceilings, roofs and floors. It supplies, installs and maintains electric and pneumatic smoke vents on flat and pitched roofs together with louvre-type vents, and builds turnkey closed-car-park systems: carbon-monoxide detection panels, extract and supply fan sets with silencers, ventilation boosters and fresh-air intakes, with extract equipment rated to run between 220 °C and 450 °C. It was founded at Uccle in 1998 and taken over in 2023 by two Brussels entrepreneurs, and runs a technical standby service outside working hours. It is an installer and maintainer, not a manufacturer, and publishes no EN 12101 class or certificate number of its own — FISQ, which issues a mark rather than a number, is its third-party evidence.
