Founded in Kolbingen in 1928, SCHAKO manufactures ventilation and air-conditioning components including rectangular and circular fire dampers, shut-off devices, volume flow controllers and silencers, with a second German fire damper plant in Meßkirch. Its fire dampers carry the DIBt approvals Z-56.4212-997 for the BSK-RPR, BKA-EN and BKP-EN types and Z-41.3-309 for the BK-188, and are CE-marked under the harmonised standard EN 15650. The company publishes its own guidance on the evidence of fire behaviour that fire dampers require under the Construction Products Regulation.
