Stahlbrandschutz in Barleben developed and produces the reactive intumescent coating system Stahlbrandschutz SBS 30 for structural steel, holding its own DIBt allgemeine bauaufsichtliche Zulassung Z-19.11-2095, first issued in 2013. Unusually it combines research, manufacture and on-site application in one business, having moved from long-standing applicator into product development, and it operates a certification scheme for third-party applicators of its coatings. Coverage is F30 fire resistance to DIN 4102 for open and closed steel sections.
