A Basque applied-research foundation whose fire safety laboratory at Azpeitia holds the first ENAC accreditation in Spain for large-scale façade fire testing — benches that burn a complete external wall build-up up to ten metres high to BS 8414, NFPA 285 and CAN/ULC-S134, the tests a cladding system has to pass as a system rather than as components. Alongside them sit a 3 × 3 m vertical furnace and a 4 × 3 m horizontal furnace with selectable heating curves, and the reaction-to-fire kit — cone calorimeter, single burning item, flammability and radiant panel. Accredited by ENAC (4/LE2527), notified body 1292 under the Construction Products Regulation, and a Technical Assessment Body issuing European Technical Assessments.
