A large fire testing and conformity assessment facility at Al Warsan 3 in Dubai, serving the GCC, the wider Middle East, North Africa and the subcontinent. It is accredited by IAS, EIAC, GAC and ENAS, testing to around a hundred standards and certifying products against more than six hundred, and it works to the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code alongside the North American (ASTM, UL, ULC, NFPA), British, ISO and EN families; European partnerships give its clients a route to CE and UKCA marking. State the ownership, because it matters: ESL is a Dubai Civil Defence facility — the first government-controlled fire testing and certification body in the region — and Dubai Civil Defence is also the authority that enforces the code ESL tests against. It is listed on the strength of its accreditations and its open commercial operation, with that fact stated rather than left out.
